Dr Jo Pearson

Jo heads up our SCITT and Research School. As well as running the SCITT she teaches on the programme and is a personal tutor for some of the trainees. She originally trained as a secondary history teacher and has worked in schools and universities across the North of England for the past 30 years. She has been leading the training of beginning and qualified teachers since 2003. Her doctoral study focused on curriculum construction. Jo also delivers the most current research-based training to qualified teachers through the Research School and supports school improvement through the delivery of whole-school training.
