Laura Ovenden

Laura is a Link Tutor, observing students in their placement schools and offering support and guidance when needed. She has taught for over 20 years and was a Head of English in a boys’ secondary school in London before moving to Primary. She now teaches in both KS1 and KS2 in two Calderdale schools and leads English. In recent years Laura has led a National Writing Project group for teachers as well as an Open University Reading for Pleasure teachers’ group. She has also given presentations at conferences on Grammar for Writing and teaching poetry in the classroom.
