All staff, trainee teachers and everyone involved in Teamworks SCITT shares this commitment and are therefore expected to behave in such a way that supports this commitment at all times.
Appointment to any of our QTS programmes will be subject to the following pre-employment checks:

- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including a check of the Children’s Barred List
- Relevant work qualifications
- Health/fitness to train screening (confidentially through a third-party occupational health company)

A start date for successful applicants will not be confirmed until clearance from all the above checks has been obtained.
Please note that the DBS check will reveal all convictions, reprimands, cautions and bindovers even if considered spent within the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. There is a DBS Code of Practice which governs this process, a copy of which can be found at DBS code of practice – GOV.UK
