Choosing Teamworks as my training provider was one of the best decisions I have ever made, due to the amazing quality of the training, guest speakers and above all the tutors. Teamworks has a real family feel to it and the team really want to get the best out of you as a teacher. They are always there for you if you have any issues at school or need advice for assignments or jobs.
The training days were really beneficial, covering topics from safeguarding to marking and data. But most importantly they were always fun, especially the mock school trip to Manchester, where even trainee teachers can show they can get lost!
Teamworks encouraged all trainees to really get involved in their placement schools whether this be by participating in extra-curricular activities or going on school trips, which lead me to go on the school trip to Spain for a week!
The PGCE assignments were tough, but the topics that the SCITT chose have really helped to develop my pedagogical knowledge around curriculum design and inclusion. Teamworks links to the University of Huddersfield were also really useful, as we had access to all student facilities such as the library and gym.
Even now I’m off on my NQT year, Teamworks is still there to offer advice during the next stage of my career and I cannot recommend them enough!
